About us

The Harrington Park Road Runners Association, Inc. (HPRRA) was formed in 2017 primarily for charitable and social purposes.  The business of the HPRRA is to solicit, collect, manage and distribute funds raised through the Harrington Park 5K race and/or other activities for the purpose of supporting charitable and community organizations, scholarships and for enhancing community services regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, country of origin, social status, or birth status.

This is the 20th year that the Harrington Park 5K Fall Spectacular will be held.  Initially, the race was sponsored by the Harrington Park Community Parks Project, then the Harrington Park Sports Boosters and starting in 2017, the Harrington Park Road Runners Association (HPRRA) a New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation.  HPRAA is classified as a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  All donations to HPRAA are tax deductible.

Since its inception the Harrington Park 5K Fall Spectacular has raised over $175,000.  Proceeds have been donated to the Harrington Park Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Harrington Park Fire Department, Harrington Park Public Library, Harrington Park School, Harrington Park Beautification Committee, Boy Scout Troop 616, Scholarships for High School Seniors and other community organizations.
